This year marks the 100th anniversary of Stanisław Lem's birthday.

Lem is one of my favourite writers in general, and definetely my favourite Polish writer. I decided to use this occasion as a motivation to complete a few Lem-related personal projects, which I've been postponing for a long time.
Eden was the first of Lem's books that I've read and it still remains my top favourite. It tells a story of a group of astronauts who explore planet Eden and discover the complicated situation of the planet's inhabitants. The reader has to face a common motif of Lem's books - the vision of an encounter between humanity and the "other". The encounter which proves that there exists an unbreakable barrier in understanding which humanity will never manage to breach. That we will have to face otherness which cannot be familiarized.

I decided to create a dust jacket for my copy of Eden. For now, I haven't printed it yet so I'll be using a mockup for showcasing.
