Showtime’s three-part doc “Shut Up and Dribble” starts with an opening with a layered and frenetic treatment reflecting “the changing role of athletes in our fraught cultural and political environment.”
I first started adapting the firsts few style-frames into the final look to be animated. So, I did some animation exploration and achieved the final look mixing cel and digital animation. Then, I replicated the achieved style of the frames and animation for the entire movie. I was responsible for designing most of the frames and animating everything but one shot.
