Rooftop Patio Design
Project Description: As part of my Building Structures & Systems course at RMCAD, I worked on a collaboration project with a professional in the indusry to design my rooftop patio.
Some of the tasks included:
> Collaborated on concept and execution with landscape designer and LEED AP at Lifescape Colorado through phone calls and emails, making adjustments based on feedback.
> Reviewed pros/cons of energy saving measures, installed gas line for fire pit, and made plans to install a retractable motorized awning to reduce heat gain inside the house.
> Reviewed xeriscaping plan for greenery solutions, which included drough tolerant plants, and a drip line irrigation that I installed.
> Discussed construction work like a green roof and flooring tile (trex). Trex was implemented for phase 1. Green roof or solar panels possibly for future work.
>Designed and created CAD plan (shown below)
