The spatial and design concept of this house was influenced by the particular qualities of the site. The environment is the center of attention.
OT Residence, camouflaged by hills, dunes and surrounded by forest on one side and the ocean on the other. Raw concrete and timber slats blend into the sandy background with pine trees, allowing the home to dissolve. Plunging into the natural environment, the boundaries of the object are erased, allowing to combine the inside and outside.
On the ground floor, public areas flow around the main hall connected by a staircase, which is a double height and has a skylight, creating the sense of one continuous and dynamic space.By capturing daylight, the environment penetrates the object light fills the space reflecting the variability of the weather and the environment.
The goal was to create a space in which a person would feel at peace, a place in which nothing distracts.Interior design is directly related to the architectural expression of the house, the space reflects the unity of construction materials and the interaction of the volumes and voids of the building.
