SUMMARY
TEXTILE EXPERIMENTATION
Textile experimentation
We had to use different ancient techniques (knotting, embroidering, weaving, braiding, knitting...) to create 10×10cm textile samples.
We also had to make sure that the whole thing was visually coherent.
Each sample then had to be associated with a technical concept.
GRAPHIC EXPERIMENTATION
We had to choose two technical notions from our samples and then develop them through graphic and volume experiments.
We had to work on isolated letters while trying to continue to integrate the aspect of old techniques and textiles.
We could also use the scanner to distort the letters or create a texture effect with our samples and then use them to create new letters on the computer.
POSTER DEVELOPMENT
First, we made a first attempt and then we refined to make the posters more impactful.
With the help of the previous experiments, we can now integrate the concept of these ancient techniques into posters.
These were to be used by Secours Populaire to promote intergenerational cafés.
The aim was to integrate three catchphrases: "Viens, Huguette va t'apprendre à conter fleurette", "Tu penses encore que Margotte radote?", "Eh oui Paulette à encore toute sa tête!".
FINAL POSTERS
Following the development, we reworked the posters by computerising them completely and forming a triptych of the three sentences.
SERIGRAPHY
To finalise the project, we were able to print our products using the screen printing technique.
A screen printer came to explain how to do it and then we were able to print the posters directly because the exposure of the fabric had already been done with the typons that we had prepared on the computer.

It is necessary to coat the cloth with ink and then press it against the paper where it will only pass where the mesh of the cloth is open
Typons
Align the location of the sheet and the tissue with the typon.
