In Part B, I undertook a year-long Healthcare Engineering project, run in conjunction with Sagentia. 

The brief was to "design and prototype a product to increase medical compliance within the rehabilitation of a patient recovering from a knee-based operation".

 

Our solution was an enhanced interactive step-pad, offering multiple functions to guide the patient technically when exercising, while also providing motivation throughout their rehabilitation programme. The product focuses on regaining strength and movement in the user’s legs after they have undergone knee surgery, and provides the platform for a multitude of exercises in order to do this.
