2021 CHERRY BLOSSOM ILLUSTRATIONS

In honor of cherry blossom season, I created different illustrations inspired by my last trip to Japan!

On our trip, we went to Dontonbori, where the streets are filled with colorful lights and signage advertising different restaurants and eateries!  This illustration is an abstract representation of that area, inspired by some pufferfish signage I saw, the Dontonbori Canal, and the iconic Glico running man.
While in Japan, we had to get some matcha soft serve! This illustration was inspired by some matcha parfaits we had in Kyoto~
Here is a shiba enjoying a picnic in the park! He is surrounded by sweet treats like dango, sakuramochi, and green tea!

For all illustrations I first sketched and color blocked in Procreate. This helped to streamline the process once the sketches were in Adobe Illustrator.
In honor of AAPI Heritage month and because of the recent increase in violence on the AAPI community, I decided to turn these illustrations into stickers. A portion of the proceeds from these cherry blossom stickers will be donated to Stop AAPI Hate. These stickers mimic a stamp to symbolize sending love and hope during these difficult times.

These stickers can be purchased on our online shop.

Thank you for watching!
