Cantonese, the mainstream dialect of Hong Kong was suppressed by the local government in education aspect, the locals' dialect is facing threats of being replaced by Mandarin. There is an obvious phenomenon that the newer generation slightly used to speak Mandarin as the primary language.
This is an education campaign about Cantonese, its concept focused on Hong Kong slang, every slang bears past and present of the local culture. Kinetic typography themed on the combination of new and old Hong Kong slang, letting the locals' younger and older generation can profoundly understand each other’s social phenomenon and culture behind the similar slang and meanwhile encourage the exchange of Cantonese culture among the public.
The app offers a platform for introducing the subtleties of Hong Kong slang, users can learn, share and exchange Cantonese language culture with others.
