A SERIAL PERSONAL PASSION PROJECT THAT EXPLORES THE MEANING, THE SYMBOLISM AND USE OF MASKS AS A DISGUISE IN OUR SOCIETY

Hi there! Although it’s very difficult to represent in a cohesive way the relationship between masking and identity, with this project I used Japanese masks as vectors to represent one of many of our characters. We, as individuals, wear many different ‘masks’ depending from the situation. A mask for the morning, one for the afternoon, one for the work and so on. Are we able to recognize such 'masks' or not?
