Brand And Apparel Design for House Of Swell. We helped entrepreneur Conor Pickard spread the word of his mental health advocacy and marketing services with this playful and vibrant brand identity.
Conor felt his previous branding was not memorable enough and wanted something more eye catching. We were inspired by his brand tag lines ‘Doing Swell’ and ‘The Sun Is Gonna Shine’. We used this sentiment to create brand and apparel design that represented Conor’s brand, positivity and appeal to his audience.
The objectives of the House Of Swell rebrand were to reach a wider audience through unforgettable brand and apparel design. Conor’s business has two sides to it. Business facing marketing services and a consumer facing apparel range. The deliverables included logo suite, icons, business cards and apparel range.
To accommodate both sides of the business we wanted to create something vibrant, playful yet professional. To achieve this we used custom script type with expressive swashes and drop for the primary logo. This created an original word mark that would be easily recognised.
We used a vibrant, yet muted colour palette so the brand and apparel design was eye catching but not shouting at the audience. We used simple, line drawn illustrations and positive tag-lines to create the apparel range.
The result is a cohesive brand and apparel design system that has helped Conor increase his market share and sell more merch.
