Potato Peeler Automata
This project is an exploration of a new medium, using movement to communicate everyday actions like cooking. Creating automata provided a new perspective of the creation process where the design outcome was heavily influenced by the restrictions of mechanical movements. The fun nature of automata, reminiscent of a music box, allowed more freedom and humor in the creation of the character design. Having a personified potato emotionally responding to the movement of the automata.
