Polyclinic Redesigned

This project was completed in collaboration with NHGP, with interviews conducted with the staff of polyclinics. Co-creation and feedback sessions were also held with the organizations' management.
Needs of the stakeholders were gathered, and we had to choose the ones with the most impact to work on. Above is the connections drawn between the needs of various stakeholders showing how interconnected they are, which led us to propose a redesign of the polyclinic.
People who are exposed to biophilic elements have experienced better recoveries and moods. By incorporating these elements into one of the most stressful places (according to interviews), the waiting area, would help to alleviate negative emotions.
A circular building may not be practical due to inefficient land usage in Singapore. Thus, we incorporated the flow into a 3-storey polyclinic. However, the biophilic element had to be removed.
As the concept might be new to users, a branding campaign was designed to raise awareness. A new brand was necessitated as a break from the old system, to indicate to the public that it is new. However, this is only a proposal and may not have been practical for a large organization such as NHGP.
