Clarity
Creative Collaboration Tip

This motion design is a part of my new video series that shares creative tips aimed at helping individuals become more efficient in their creative fields. I used After Effects to create all of the graphics and motion design work.

I encourage my professional community to find ways to share their expertise, talent, and knowledge. Let's support the development of others.
I've worked with in-house creative teams and creative teams that consist of contractors and freelancers. Clarity is a consistent component in establishing a productive and collaborative team.

A key element in establishing clarity is setting clearly defined goals. These goals should be SMART, an acronym for SpecificMeasurableAchievableRealistic, and Timely. Setting SMART goals can increase your chances of achieving your goals and provides transparency to all team members.

As the creative, ensure that the project's expectations and goals are clear to you. Also, make sure you understand your next steps and how your work aligns with your team members.

TIP: Don't be afraid to ask clarifying questions if you are unclear about the project scope, objectives, direction, or your role. Effective communication is a great way to achieve clarity.
