University of Connecticut - Student Master Plan Exhibit
As an independent research project with Professor Kristin Schwab, Associate Professor Landscape Architecture, University of Connecticut. Coordinated and co-designed a month long exhibit featuring master plans developed by the 2006 Landscape Architecture senior design studio displayed at the University of Connecticut Babbidge Library.
The students were asked to redesign the 60 acre site and incorporate existing environmental sensitive areas and substantiated the university's endeavor to maintain responsible land use management and growth practices as adopted in the 2004 university's Environmental Policy Statement.
This display was the precursor to the final master plan developed and adopted by the university officially renamed the Hillside Environmental Education Park (HEEP).
I provided essential environmental, statistical, and technical analysis and developed programmatic need to Professor Schwab and the senior design studio of 2006. The student master plans were also presented to the university's Land Use Sustainable Development sub-committee; an advisory board to the university president.
