At the time of writing this journal, all of us living in the UK are now two months into a national lockdown courtesy of the COVID virus. The impact of staying indoors for the vast majority of the day is something alien to us all when our greatest strength as beings has always been to explore.

February's huge swell that rolled into Newquay, courtesy of two back to back storms in Europe brought a welcome distraction to 8 long weeks of home-based routines that could not be missed.

Fistral Beach is my local break so I photographed this stretch of Cornwall's coastline, capturing everything from dawn until dust before winding up shooting North Fistral/Cribbar on the very best day.
