Participated in the exhibition of Culture Station Seoul 284, which holds an exhibition with a new theme every year. This year's theme was “Record,” and SWNA designed a sculpture that can store records as well as objects that can feel the rhyme of music. These six objects were designed by repetition of rhythm, and 2D patterns and contrasts were replaced with 3D solids.

In the aftermath of covid-19, the exhibition was held on the online platform and in Lost Seongsu, an external cooperative space. Online exhibitions can be viewed on the Cultural Station Seoul website. All pictures were taken by photographer Soo In Jang.

Process

Color MDF is a material that is relatively inexpensive and easy to manufacture. After deciding to use color MDF, we designed furniture that can be manufactured in a processing method that suits the material. Graphical shape was formed by simple laser cutting, and pieces were repeatedly stacked to express the rhythm and rhyme of the music.
