I started by drawing Damien, the character in the image, on paper. I scanned the drawing into the computer and imported it into Photoshop. I outlined, colored; added shadows, highlights and other effects in Photoshop. I also found an image of a mountain side and the cracks, online to use as a reference for the background.
The inspiration for this piece is based upon good and evil, devils and angels, and how we make choices both good and bad in our lives. Damien is a character who I created that has to choose what he wants with his life. A life of being a Ruler of the Underworld or a life of being a positive influence on others and helping. I would like to expand on this character in some way.
