Nowadays, paper materials as information media are shifting to digital screens. In that respect, various methodological updates have also been made in typography, a significant design element. Indeed, right now, it’s the transition period. This is the main reason why I chose Baskerville as body Typography; its unique history as living in a TRANSITIONAL age.
.

ABOLITION The essay compared science research and human abilities.
So, I chose a San-Serif font featuring squares and circles(curves) as their edges; Square represents Science, circle as Humanity. Also, this font is eye-catching; it gives distinguish between body and display typeface

GOTHAM The square and tidy impression are visually reminiscent of the GRID system. Gotham is a font; born in the 21st century. However, it has a solid tradition that supports this principled essay.

●KULUTLITSA I chose Slab Serif font, which created as an Egyptian Serif in 1800's. At  Serif is considered as traditional, but in this Font, the serif workd as the sense of innovation which incorporating Emotions. I intenstinally chose Italic.

For cover design, I decided the show the timeline of the history of typography.

Reseach on the shelves
I researched the online book store's lineups. I found the Helvetica font is heavily used in most of the books. Also, I noticed the colourful layout with primary solid colours. Therefore, I  decided to make the design based on black with one colour.  I looked around new wave design ( inspired from McCoy and Frej's essay), so I chose the neon pink colour as impacted & which could represent the modern technology- age.
