Project Summary:
This chat application is designed to communicate within employee -employee and employee -end user.
As it is for a healthcare client , there is no secure channel which can be used for interacting with users and within employees. Hence, a chat application is designed to overcome the difficulties that is faced in many terms as in , for sharing screen , for having technical talk within the client network .

The Problem :
As technology is evolving and digitalization comes into picture in every phase of day to day life, for better employee engagement and increased accountability and to avoid security breaches , I thought designing a simple and user friendly chat application in such manner that it would be helpful for the technical and functional consultants in interacting with each other and transferring data securely would be a productive idea.
Here goes the challenges which I had gathered by interviewing my colleagues about the project scenario.

1. The project didn’t have a proper communication channel within the Client VPN to discuss the problems .
2. The technical and functional consultants had to use WhatsApp to communicate which was not a secured/proper communication channel as it included the personal information of patients as well as project documents.
3. The developers had no channel to share screen . So , this application has the advantage of screen sharing with fellow developers for code presentation and rectification of bugs in any process.
Gathering Insights :
I interviewed my colleagues and the consultants working in both India and Singapore country to understand the issue they face on daily basis and how they manage to resolve it. I also prepared a set of survey question and floated it around 15 people in the project to get a brief insight into the current scenario of the issue.
Interestingly , I observed that people would also want to suggest idea s apart from reporting and tracking issues

The Solution :
A chat application was developed which can work within the VPN connection to securely interact within employee-employee and employee-end users for better understanding and being a medium for reliable source of communication.
The chat application included proper scope of :
a. Interacting within India and onsite employees securely.
b. Since the chat application worked within the VPN connectivity there was not breach of data of patients and project related documents.
c. There is a provision of creation of groups for categorizing several modules and developments as well as patient records.
d. There is a page designed for news feed to know the ongoing news and hospital information .

Setting up the Structure:
I concentrated on the concept and did few iterations using hand sketching . I like spending lot of time on designing and deciding the information architecture and the user flow . I jotted down my assumptions , constraints and design ideas alongwith. After getting a clear picture of the concept I started sketching .
