This collection was inspired by impressionist paintings and light reflection and southern Spain. All the images that I pulled from are of the southern coast of Spain, and light and shadow play a huge role. The collection that follows is in theory, designed for Alberta Ferretti's Ready-To-Wear collection for S/S 2014.
Fabric Board: Fabrics including lightweight cotton, chiffon, stretch twill, gauze, and cream wool. Color swatches are under the fabric swatches, and four fabric treatments line the top of this board. Hand sewn beaded wrinkle effects, sequin and bead fade, beaded line, and arrowhead embroidery are included in the detail of each look.
A cream plisse jacket with layed lavender chiffon bust detail, lavender chiffon panel at sleeve, hook and eye closure at bust, and full torso. Chiffon sleeve panel includes arrowhead embroidery detail. Cigarette pants with a twist: the six inches above the hem are matching chiffon, with seam line hidden by the sequin and bead fade detail.
Evening gown in lightweight navy cotton with draped neckline and wrinkle beaded shoulder and back detail.
Gauzey day-to-night dress with boat neck, 3/4 length sleeves, and layered cascading chiffon with beading detail at hem.
