Artists statement
With these photos I captured the important aspects of my life. My passions, favorite people and places, and even objects that I feel are significant to me. All of these ideas represent me in some way or another, such as my love of the outdoors and my friends. The collodion effect placed onto these photos is inspired by old wet-plate collodion prints, which is when photographers pour collodian onto a glass plate and submerge the plate into silver nitrate. This type of photo creation gives the picture more character and feeling. As is in my photos collodian prints (more often than not) include scratches or dust from the glass they were created on.
