Harry Brown's T-Shirts

This was a college project.
We had to screen print one t-shirt but I had too many ideas going on so I decided to create two seperate brands. A Victorian and an Americana route. So here's the Americana route....

I have a real love for 40’s/50’s Americana. It's a style that never seems to go out of fashion and it's a route that immediately came to mind when we were given this brief. Brands such as Superdry have some great t-shirt designs and I like their retro, distressed style and use of typography. I could honestly spend days looking at old wall and gas signs and never get bored! The sign writing and advertising back then was truly beautiful.

I absolutley loved every aspect of this brief. Right from the start, I began to think of it as a brand. I think once you have an overall look & feel, the designs would be easy.

I won’t bore you by going into detailing every little part of the process, so here are a few pages from the catologue I put together. Showing not only the t-shirt designs but the look & feel of the Harry Brown's brand.
