Hameau de la Reine

HAMEAU de la REINE Creating an identity for a hotel with no limitations was probably my favorite and most challenging project in school. This project taught me how to create a successful identity that could be used to brand my hotel.
The summer prior to this project my sister and I took a Euro-trip and traveled to Scotland, England, and France. When I went to Paris, I fell in love with Marie Antoinette's small estate just off the Palace of Versailles, also known as Hameau de la Reine (House of Hamlet). The small estate was designed for her and her court to escape the busy life of a Queen and to relax and have fun. Using this idea, and color inspirations from french macaroons, I created my hotel for professional women to escape the busy work life. The hotel is split up into three parts - the hotel, patisserie, and the boutique fashion area.
