For my birthday during the year of the pandemic, I found it fit to visit the island of the Apocalypse, the island prison where St John the Evangelist was exiled as punishment for preaching Christ. It was a fitting place to visit during times that feel apocalyptic and Biblical.  I did not want to leave.
