You Thought Sports Database

Brief
You Thought is a sports database that connects the eye test to tangible statistics. For most fans, the price of entry for complex and interesting statistics is often too high. They value relevancy, accuracy and legibility.

The brand is founded on the belief that there is more to sports than meets the eye, and it's purpose is to turn statistics into tangible and easy-to-digest paragraphs that resonate with sports fans.
Solution

The primary emphasis of the design solution was centered around enhancing the user's experience at the entry point of their data search. After thorough consideration, I arrived at the "Who, What, Where/When" approach, which effectively classifies data points into these distinct categories. This comprehensive system enables new users to seamlessly navigate and access data, while simultaneously providing seasoned users with the ability to delve into more intricate search points.

Furthermore, once the search points have been identified, the information is presented in a user-friendly format, consisting of easy-to-read tables along with a succinct summary of all data points. In order to make the data more comprehensible, I utilized a color-coded approach, where black denotes general information about the data points and red highlights its contextual relevance in the broader history of sports.
