Long Live Artūrs, Latvia 2013

Artūrs is 90 years old. He is a cheerful man and a survivor.
He lived through World War II, but not unharmed. His parents were shot by the German Army, so he joined the Red Army. During the war, the debris of an explosion of a cluster bomb have hit his eye, scarring him for life.  He was a swimming champion and teacher all his life.
Artūrs lives alone. His goal is to reach, at least, the age of 100. For that, everyday he drinks a special water that he keeps inside a bowl containing silver spoons. He massages his face everyday to avoid wrinkles and he stares at the blue sky in order to keep his vision sharp. He swims everyday in the river and walks more than 3km per day.
