Sensory Chromatography —

For thousands of years, the mysteries of the Universe have been the focus of human curiosity: radiant stars, collapsing worlds that seem eternal, and the untamable outer space. How can we explore these mysteries if we are unable to reach them? How can we approach these unwelcoming territories that have always been present in our myths? Using what is within our reach, Humanity has always found ways to create representations of locations and concepts beyond our grasp.

In this series, I studied the transformations that exist in the Universe, colors, and ourselves, working with inks through a chromatography technique. The unpredictable nature of the Fountain Pen ink's hues, gradients, and nebulous textures, allowed me to examine dualities such as proximity and distance, explosions and implosions, and the tangible and the heavenly.  

Throughout this two-year journey, I produced a lot of paintings. Among the topics studied are the micro and macro cosmos, the mysteries of the Deep Ocean, the origins of the Universe, and turbulent atmospheric phenomenons, and how colors can stimulate our sensory receptors.
