(Interior Architecture  –NYC)

The future is nature.
We collaborated with the visionary eyewear company Heywear on their flagship retail location in New York City. The brand's focus is an omni-channel studio, showcasing their innovative approach to design and emphasis on user experience.
We designed a thoughtful experience; where human connections prevail over a merely transactional store. The brand's focus on an all-in-one solution studio encapsulates their approach to design, service and innovation.
Heywear's strong correlation of dualities - the scientific and the human, the innovative process and their refinement – inspired the development of a fresh concept for the interior architecture; transforming them into the modern optometrist.
Based on the particular vantage point of the space and its ascending progression, our approach was to develop a hybrid of a retail store and an art gallery.
Essential to the concept is the implementation of noble materiality. In order to complement the rawness of the concrete, we used stones, ancient wood elements and custom ceramic objects to create a refined and natural environment within the spatial boundaries of the boutique, making each customer the center of the experience.
Being nature, our other half main subject, we installed a sculptural garden inspired by the Rock Garden in Ryoanji; using sunlight and shadows to achieve spatial parity. A moment for contemplation and appreciation of unchanging beauty.
The garden represents the poetic expression of man’s relationship with nature and the cosmos. It gives man the space to contemplate and connect with its environment. Beyond being sculptural objects, stones confer symbolic power on a place and bring tranquility.

The rope symbolizes connection with the cosmos, while the branch represents our mind’s ability to balance the tangible from the intangible.
Each meticulously crafted pair of frames is assembled with high quality lenses produced on site by their technology power lab, holds the potential of each individual's self-expression and becomes a daily personal companion.
