Chefling: Branding & Package Design

 
 
The colour palette was inspired by East Asian ink wash paintings that comprised of beautiful black, blue and red hues on light-brownish-to-yellow papers. 
 
 
 
 
Package design
 
I took major inspiration from Japanese aesthetics like 
Fukinsei: asymmetry, irregularity
Datsuzoku: unbound by convention 
Kawaii: the cuteness culture
 
I kept the labels minimal to complement the packages 
 
 
 
 
Social Media 
 
Our goal was to make Chefling’s Sushi Kit as “Instagrammable” as possible.
 
I made the social media templates fun, quirky and interactive. And for the content, I kept the language easy and breezy with a dash of wordplay.
 
 We collectively decided on keeping the brand’s tone informal, friendly and approachable.
