The Valletta Green Festival
This annual event is part of the Government’s vision to introduce more urban greening. Part of the trees and shrubs that are being used during this Festival will be left permanently in Valletta, in order to continue greening our capital city. This year’s infiorata features a colourful turtle inspired by the year's European Green Week theme, ‘Zero Pollution’.
People empathise and feel for animals. Here in Malta we care for and protect the birth and growth of sea turtles. Turtles have become a key figure associated with the environment. Displaying a vibrant Mosaic turtle will solidify and remind us of the beauty and happiness we feel when caring for a healthy environment.
