The Clubhouse

The clubhouse.
Al-ARABI group private residential clubhouse.

Any clubhouse is considered a vibrant heart for its location. For that purpose, it should be unique and memorable. The main challenge in this case was to design a building that can interact with the surrounding complex, yet has its uniqueness.
"A good architecture is the one that lets nature in". Following that approach, the building was injected with different techniques to express the natural design through usage of vertical gardens in some spaces, enhancing the effect of courtyards ad atriums, maximizing transparency, enhance the IN-OUT relationships, usage of natural materials and earthy colors, reflecting a dynamic building compositions, create spaces with minimal sense and to give a warm and serine look.

Hence the middle form is the main focal point for the clubhouse, its design should be more modern and offers the max. transparency. In doing so, a clear curtain walls were used in the middle part with an inclined ceiling that contain a dynamic skylight to control the sense of natural light that enters the building. And to emphasize the dominance of the middle form, two main solid forms were added.
Following the mentioned concept, the two side wings should not catch the eye yet they should enhance the focus on the middle form. So, their forms should be gradually staggered in the sense that keeps the dominance of the middle form.
The back elevation mainly is designed to offer large shaded areas for the swimming pool. The idea depends on creating double arcades that can be used in different functions like a shaded pathway for walk, seating area, photography zone, and an extension for the ball room. The arcades were designed to give a sense of complexity while keeping the authentic-modern look.
The night lighting was studied well in order to make it unique and suitable for the concept. The up-lights were used in the authentic part and the linear led lights were used in the modern parts.
