The concept of this poster represent how the Banjo is used to illustrate the theme “Restoring the African American Oral Tradition”. The Banjo was a medium that connected people from diverse African groups enslaved on the plantations of the Americans. Playing the Banjo and singing enabled them create a space of cultural and spiritual autonomy where they could be themselves.
