Packaging is part of the consumer's experience. While packaging does wonders on the shelf to attract the consumer and tell the story of the product, a lot of shopping in recent years are done online where packaging is secondary to the actual item. However, I believe that packaging still goes a long way in brand loyalty, even after the product is bought.
ModCloth.com is an online clothing boutique that carries many vintage and vintage-inspired frocks and accessories. As a ModCloth customer, my enthusiasm when unpacking my order is lacking, which I found affects how I emotionally receive my items. With this project, I aimed to create a more positive experience by wrapping up the items and "rewarding" the customers for their groovy choices.
Graphics were created in Adobe Illustrator CS6 and the box was constructed by hand.
