This is my Seven Deadly Sins book project. It was difficult for me to work on this because it made me uncomfortable mixing religion into my education. The objective of the project was to mix different media methods (digital and analogue) to create a book that could be printed on 55gsm paper by the Newspaper Club. Each spread had a different requirement for how the image should be taken or edited. You can look at my process on dropmark.
This is the cover of my Seven Deadly Sins book. I chose fire because I thought it was appropriate for my book about the Seven Deadly Sins.
I used magazine images to create my collage to represent my "Lust" spread. It was difficult to find the image because I don't have magazines laying around my house to pull images from.
I chose my "Sloth" spread to show because I like how the duotone turned out, (even though it was a pain in the ass to get it to work right).
In this spread I have taken a picture of some my gymnastics medals to represent "Pride" the last of the Seven Deadly Sins. I think this is a good representation of pride because to an outsider it looks like an overindulgence, bragging rights, etc. but if you knew the story behind them you would know that a lot of hard work went into earning every single medal.
