Mansutra ( Mangalsutra for Men)

Mansutra: Ending inequality in Indian marriages.
World over, marriages are solemnised by the bride and groom exchanging rings. But in India it appears to be a one-sided affair. The bride wears a mangalsutra, around her neck.
But the groom wears nothing. Tradition explains the mangalsutra as a mark that shields her man from evil.
But it has largely become a symbol to other men that she is  ‘unavailable.’ But the question remains: why does the man
wear nothing? Doesn’t he wish to shield his woman from evil? Doesn’t he want to tell the world that he is ‘unavailable’ too.

‘Mansutra’ is an idea that throws a revolutionary perspective on this chauvinism.
