Kleenex brand tissues were invented in 1924, as a reusable cleaning product, and later rebranded as a facial tissue to match what consumers were using the product for. Since the companies inception, they have created and pioneered many different facial tissue and towel products to help consumers feel comfortable and clean. Recently, the Kimberly-Clark product family has devoted itself to sustainability and environmentalism.
I have decided to pair Kleenex with a travel series because many of the things I associate with the company is something I expect and hope for when I am planning a trip. Myself and many others look for these traits when choosing airlines, hotels, other accommodations and the products they will be bringing on the trip.
Despite being a household name and even becoming a product of genericization, Kleenex has yet to expand their products beyond the facial tissue category. Travel and vacationing deserves a brand that cares about you and the environment.
