Dragan & Glamour Effects

Photoshop Effects: Dragan (left) & Glamour (right).

In this project, I took photos of two models and edited them in Photoshop. I applied different techniques to each based on which effect would work best with each model and their preferences.

My goal was to take clear digital photographic shots and create a more stylistic, professional aesthetic to each. Both have their own style, but shine with different professional qualities. As a result, they can be the face of their business, used in advertising, or to simply create a powerful impression.
The Dragan Effect, created by Andrzej Dragan, uses dramatic lighting and high contrast, photo editing techniques to enhance the tones and vividness of a subject. It's used to make the subject stand out in a dramatic, emotional, and eye-catching way.

Since, this effect has a rustic feel to it, I took the photos of the subject in front of a natural, raw background. This help to maximize the dramatic, stylistic appearance.
The Glamour Effect is uses clear bright light and photo-editing techniques to enhance the subjects features and tonality. This creates a more attractive style to the subject and is used in professional scenes.

Since this effect is more about how the subject looks than the overall image, I used a neutral background to push the subject forward. Your eyes are instantly drawn to the enhanced facial features of skin, hair, eyes, nose, and lips.
