Apple Music and iCloud Music Library?

How to Setup a Second iTunes Library for Apple Music and iCloud Music Library?
Are you a music lover? If yes, you must have a massive collection of several music tracks on your device stored in iCloud Music Library or Apple Music. After some time, the iCloud music library gets full due to too many songs and music tracks. If that’s the case, we recommend creating a sub-library to use with the same subscription plan.

At present, iCloud Music Library allows you to store and upload up to 100000 local music tracks through iTunes Library. It will stop if you try to save more than the fixed limit, but if you have an extensive collection of songs, you can easily use iCloud Music Library via Apple Music or iTunes Match stand-alone subscription. Here’s how:

Creating Second iTunes Library on Mac

If you want to store your songs that can’t be stored in one iCloud Music Library due to over-storage, you need to create a second one and link the tracks you like to have in the second one.

Here are the steps to create a second library on your Mac:
First of all, you need to quit iTunes on your device.
Then, tap and hold down the Option button while clicking iTunes to re-launch the same.
After that, select the option “Choose iTunes Library,” and then hit the Create Library option there.

Next, give a name to your new library like “iCloud Music Library” or something similar that is easy to acknowledge for your music files.
Then, hit the Save button.
After that, reach the iTunes tab and then hit the Preferences option there. It will be located in your menu bar.

Mark the box related to iCloud Music Library to enable the same.
Tap on Advanced option in iTunes Preferences.
Now, unmark the box option related to copying files to the iTunes media folder while adding to the library.

Go to the Finder and then visit the Music folder there.
Search for your original iTunes library folder. It should be given a name like “iTunes.” Then, perform a double click on the same and then hit the iTunes Music option there.
After that, highlight the artist you like to add to your secondary iTunes Library.
Then, drag the folders to iTunes.

After that, repeat the entire process until you have moved all the songs you want in your secondary iTunes library.

Once you have followed all the steps, then all your songs will upload to iCloud Music Library. After that, you can quit the iTunes window and then re-launch the same using the Option key held down. It allows you to return to the original full features of the iTunes library.

iCloud Music Library gives you the accessibility to store your favorite music tracks for offline listening at a later stage, but if it gets full, you need to create a sub-library as a second one. To create the same, go to the Options tab and then hit the iTunes option. Press the Create Library option there.
