5th Street Grind Rebrand

5th Street Grind Rebrand Project
ARTS224- Media Design
This Rebrand Project was created for a Media Design course which required my group and I to choose a small business and update several components of their brand. We chose a local coffee shop, 5th Street Grind, and created a cohesive website, updated social media posts, and Merchandising to update their brand.

In Media Design our professor gave us the prompt to rebrand a company of our choice and develop a series of three cohesive campaign deliverables for the company.

Looking through 5th Street Grind’s advertisement and branding, it seems that they could use an update to their local cozy coffee shop. Lynchburg residents enjoy the variety of their drinks and the message of helping 5th street, yet their overall brand does not communicate their assets to the audience. The new branding will allow for them to have consistency within their advertising and bring more people into their business. Giving 5th Street Grind a website will also give potential customers information that they might be looking for when browsing coffee shops. Overall, we hope to bring new life to 5th Street Grind just as much as they are bringing new life to the Lynchburg area.

5th Street Grind is dedicated to giving 5th street new life and a chance to be a flourishing part of Lynchburg like it used to be. Owner John Parr, created the coffee shop to not only revitalize the local community but also to make coffee accessible to the area with little coffee shop options. The overall tone of the shop is definitely warm and inviting, creating an environment where locals feel comfortable at the shop. Parr says, “local vibe is very important” to their brand and that they are, “100 percent committed to this development and this neighborhood”.
