Project: Black Lab Auto Furniture

This was one of my most challenging projects. The client redesigns classic cars as furniture and they hired me to do a full production product shoot and web design. I put on some Amy Winehouse and went to work creating a mood board with the feminine curves of the furniture in mind and framed with masculine textures like leather and chrome. I hired an incredible fashion photographer in the Atlanta area and our first day we spent converting the floor of the company factory into black asphalt by using roofing materials. We used a water hose to keep it looking puddle wet and to reflect the furniture on the ground. Once we blacked out the area we were shooting in, our lighting setup was fairly simple however we did use a makeshift light bank to light the furniture from above.
