RND is the slick big sister to Bondi’s beachside Japanese mainstay, Raw Bar.

The elevated, more mature spot takes inspiration from hidden Tokyo laneway bars and coastal fare to present a laid back, progressive offering that’s focussed on quality food and good times. Afternoon spritzes turn into late night fever, as the mood sets in with tunes you’d hear in a Japanese vinyl bar, and projected old black and white films hum in synchronicity.

The identity is a homage to life’s simple pleasures; the surf culture so close to both Japan and Australia; and the beautiful transience and impermanence associated with both themes. These sentiments are embodied by an electrifying, ultra-vibrant blue palette, futuristic type and bespoke graphics inspired by Japanese creativity, fashion, culture and design practice.
