Title Sequence
For our final project in Experimental Typography we were assingned to create a one minute title sequence for one of our favorite movies. This project blended the complexities of hand made typography, motion graphics, and design development. To start the project, we had to pick our movie- I chose the Corpse Bride, which is a classic animated film by Tim Burton. After deciding upon a title, we were set off to checkpoint one, which was creating a story board of all our ideas, names to include, color palette, and typography choice.

Checkpoint One: This is the story board that I ended up with. It was importnat during the process that we included all of the names of directors, actors, producers and creators, while also picking imagery that represented the main theme of the film without giving away too much. I feel what I decided upon truly embodies the Corpse Bride and presents the film in an accurate, simple and creative manner.
Following the storyboarding, we were tasked with setting off to After Effects to begin drafting and creating our title sequence. We had three checkpoints throughout the project, each week coming in with a segment of 20 seconds to present to our professor and classmates for notes and feedback. It was incredibly challenging and unfortunately there were elements of the storyboard that I was  unable to include. However, I was able to replace specific imagery and put together a title sequence that I am proud of. Attached is the full one-minute version:
