Early concepts with phonetic symbols
Simple and minimalistic version (my personal favourite, but rejected)
Addition of background to increase contrast, visibility and noticeability. Also introducing symbolism of "flag" as background.
Final version, optical centralisation by shifting compensation :)
Final form - Gotham Medium font used.
Whole concept of logo comes from english dictionaries phonetic inscription, using pronounciation brackets as main concept, as well as phonetic symbol "a". Im fully aware, the transcription is not absolutely correct, though only counting on resemblance of characters. Despite the fact, symbolism of logo received warm reflections and was accepted by department. My first concept without background was too minimalistic. Final form is with on shape of flag and with colors of Union Jack.
