Danubio Fútbol Club is a professional soccer club, based in Curva de Maroñas in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay. It was founded on March 1, 1932 and will play the next season (2021) in the Second Professional Division of Uruguay.
He obtained four Uruguayan First Division championships: in 1988, 2004, 2006/07 and 2013/14.
In addition, he participated on numerous occasions in continental tournaments, standing out especially in the 1989 Copa Libertadores, in which he reached the semifinals.
It has been characterized by having a high performance in the training divisions, from which arises the rivalry that it maintains with the Defensor Sporting Club, with whom it disputes the so-called Classic of the Middle.
