H-DROP Smart Faucet

H-Drop is a product family of water-saving faucet for the sustainable management and effective use of natural resources under the title of Responsible Production and Consumption within the scope of the United Nations Development Goals. Thanks to the instant heater inside of control box, the time that passes during the heating of the water is eliminated and wasting of water is prevented. Thanks to the sensor on the faucet, it aims to control the water flow without contact, to prevent the water from being turned on outside of use by eliminating the cleaning concerns such as touching the faucet with dirty hand. Plastic-coated adjustment handles on the faucet provide precise control of the temperature and flow intensity and have easy-to-clean surfaces. The faucet surface with PVD coating provides protection against fingerprints, water stain and scratch, as well as helping to clean the faucet without using chemicals.
In the project, the sustainable management and effective use of natural resources were discussed under the title of Responsible Production and Consumption Goal. It was aimed to prevent water wastage caused by user behavior and technical reasons when using faucets residential. In terms of user behavior, users do not want to dirty the tap with wet and dirty hands, for example when washing their hands, and therefore leaving the water on during hand soaping causes waste of water. Heating systems and plumbing pipes in homes are the main factors in the waste due to technical infrastructure. The water heated in these heaters loses some of its heat until it reaches the faucet through the pipes. Besides, the cold water in the pipes is wasted in the time taken to adjust the water to the desired temperature.
The 3000-watt heater in the box ensures that the water in the hot water installation instantly reaches the desired level. Thus, users will be able to access constant temperature water. The proportional solenoid valve controls the flow of hot and cold water mixed in the faucet at the desired intensity and the start and stop of the flow. The control box, powered by the mains electricity, has a backup battery to keep the valve operating in case of power outages.
Inspired by modern kitchen designs, it has matte metallic surfaces and cuts that emphasize the continuity of the lines. It is aimed to reduce cleaning problems such as fingerprints, water stains and indirectly the need for cleaning in the choice of matte surfaces.
The kitchen faucet has a rotatable spout so that users can change the position of the faucet head according to their needs in various sink types. Spout has magnetic docking, so when the spray head is released, it easily fits into the dock with the help of the weight on the hose. The spray head has 2 flow modes so that they can perform operations such as water filling, dish washing more easily and switch between spray modes thanks to the button located on the bottom of the spray head.
The design of the bathroom faucet is similar to that of the kitchen faucet, also, the nozzle is designed with a simpler design language and the cut on this form is determined to follow the lines in the general form of the faucet.

The temperature adjustment lever is located on the upper part of the faucet for easy access for users due to the location of the nozzle. Both adjustment levers and sensors are used as in the kitchen faucet. Thanks to the aerator that mixes air and water in the nozzles of the taps, it also contributes to water saving.

There is an assembly nut that we can fix the tap by turning by hand without the need for equipment.
For kitchen faucets to adapt to various kitchen designs, nickel faucet bodies are coated using PVD technology. While this application offers a wide range of color options, it makes the surface more protected against rust, scratches, and impacts, while increasing the resistance of the surfaces against fingerprints and water stains. Thus, the taps can be easily cleaned with a vinegar-water mixture without using chemicals.
Faucets in the product family are placed in a single package together with the control boxes. In the design of the packaging, matte black cardboard is preferred to comply with the design language of the faucets. The graphics are applied on the surface in bright gray by UV printing method. There are icons and explanations on the front of the packages that will highlight the specific features of the taps. The color of the faucets is indicated by the product images printed on the front and side.
The control box is designed to be mounted separately so that parts such as heater, solenoid valve, battery and electronic control unit can be replaced easily in case of malfunction.
The gears on the inner surface of the temperature adjustment lever correspond to the gears of the mixing valve that provides the mixing of hot and cold water and the potentiometer that controls the heater in the control box.

The parts of the spray head, especially the aerator, are designed to be easily removed and installed by the users for cleaning, malfunction and similar situations.

The flow rate adjustment lever has gears on its inner surface as in the temperature adjustment lever, so it can rotate the gears on the potentiometer that will control the solenoid valve. The infrared sensor is positioned in the empty space in the middle of the lever body. There are gaskets in the assembly parts and a nut that is used to fix the faucet by turning it by hand.
