Ligne Roset SOUDURE Tray

Soudure, welded tray collection
for Ligne Roset / Cinna, FR

A collection of trays inspired by Kintsugi. A Japanese method of repairing broken pottery using a noticeable binder to recreate unique artefacts. Made from aluminium, the trays feature a unique handmade welded pattern which is designed as an assembly of pieces connected together. In the making process, welding seams are usually polished to disappear because of their industrial appearance. Here, they are celebrated and become ornamental and functional. Objects can be arranged in the trays according to the pattern that appears on the surface. The two-size trays of the set can be used together or independently, stacked or next to each other, as a table centrepiece, as a fruit bowl, as a storage tray and so on. They come in natural and lacquered finishes.
