The MMC Open Chrono Master Tourbillon employs a refined tourbillon mechanism to give accurate and precise time keeping with the ultimate luxurious craftsmanship work using the best materials and finishing.

The timepiece is powered by manual winding and the power reserve is showed on a discret marker between the tourbillon and the seconds marker.

 

Created by Abraham-Louis Breguet the tourbillon mechanism was made aiming to counter the gravity effects  by mounting the escapement and balance wheel in a rotating cage, to negate the effect of gravity when the timepiece (thus the escapement) is stuck in a properly position.

 

Originally an attempt to improve accuracy in pocket watches, tourbillons are now still employed in some luxurious modern watches as a novelty and demonstration of watchmaking virtuosity. The mechanism is usually exposed on the watch's face to show it off.
