Yavi is a town in Argentina in the province of Jujuy, it is located at an altitude of 3516 meters above sea level. Since 1813 there is a historical record within the struggle for independence and it functioned as the seat of one of the haciendas that made up the Marquesado del Valle de Tojo, in the territory of what would later become the Argentine Republic and southern Bolivia, it was a Obligatory passage for the transit between the Río de la Plata and the Potosí mines.
