ABOUT
A modest-sized apartment in the center of Kyiv in the style of contemporary classics is a great option for a young, slightly over 60 couple. Despite their respectful age, the hosts are very active and hospitable people, appreciators of art and literature.
TASK
Therefore, our ultimate goal was to create a fundamental place for the reception of numerous guests, with a large dining table at its core. In this regard, we resorted to a minor redevelopment of the apartment, to obtain two, functionally independent, spaces - common and private areas. Thus,
in the common area we designed a studio that immaculately incorporated a kitchen, dining and living rooms.
Главным посылом было организовать фундаментальное место для приема многочисленных гостей, ядром которого, стал бы большой обеденный стол. В связи с этим мы прибегли к незначительной перепланировке помещения, для получения двух,
функционально-независимых, зон - общей и спальной. Таким образом, в общей зоне мы получили, своего рода,"галерею", состоящую из кухни, столовой и гостиной.
IDEA
In this particular case, the walls serve only as the background, therefore their color scheme is soft, desaturated and with light shades. We made sure that there is enough shelving and sideboards to store a huge collection of books and art pieces. The facades of sideboards, in conjunction with two large sliding glass doors in the common area, gave an abundance of reflective surfaces that visually expanded the space of the apartment.
В данном случае стены являются лишь фоном, по этому для них был выбран мягкий, ненасыщенный и светлый оттенок. Также было предусмотрено достаточное количество стеллажей и сервантов для хранения огромной коллекции книг и предметов искусства, фасады которых, в связке с двумя большими раздвижными стеклянными дверьми в общей зоне, дали обилие отражающих поверхностей, которые визуально расширили пространство квартиры.

Two bedrooms with separate dressing rooms and two bathrooms were united into a private area.

Приватный блок включил в себя две спальные комнаты с отдельными гардеробными и два санузла.
Так как выбранный стиль диктовал наличие лепнины и резных деталей, было принято решение упростить их геометрию, также и геометрию встроенной мебели, а внимание наблюдателя направить на элегантную, отдельно стоящую, итальянскую мебель и фурнитуру.

Through a combination of nuanced finishes and colorful details of furniture and decor, we have created a place with an intimate ambiance, where the hosts are always happy to receive guests.
