A university project to design a typeface that suits the phrase 'the freaks of fairytales'. I wanted to make my type bold and exciting but whilst encorporating both the freak and fairytale elements. I wanted to try and make one part of the letter has a thicker weight than the other side to show the difference between the freaks and the fairytales, i worked on making the main stem of each letter have rough edges that were worn and torn, whilst the rest of the letterform was made from a script style to show movement and flow, and also to show the good against the bad. The type works well for a childrens book or poster as its exciting and interesting but still ledigable enough that children can read it.
